West Indies big-hitter Kieron Pollard helped himself to some gentle off-spin as the Adelaide Strikers warmed up for the Big Bash (Twenty 20) competition in style.

Pollard scored 41 off 18 balls after coming into the middle order. Creaming 36 runs off one over means he accumulated a mere five off 12 other deliveries. Slack going.

The six ‘sixes’ feat has previously been achieved in international cricket by Yuvraj Singh and Herschelle Gibbs. Pollard’s team-mate, Brad Hodge, is hoping the West Indian can repeat the dose when the tournament begins in earnest on Thursday.
