Third time’s the charm?
This insane clip comes from l’international Gymnix 2015 competition in Montreal.
Watch as Italian competitor Italian Sara Berardinelli makes a near fatal error on the uneven bars that could have turned out horribly wrong. The diminutive girl hit her lower back off the pole with enough force to cause her body ragdoll out of control.
Luckily, her coach had cat-like reflexes and was there to catch her before she landed head-first on the ground.
Berardinelli didn’t seem shaken by what must have been a terrifying experience. Instead, she stood back up and tried it again, hoping for a better result.
Remarkably, the exact same thing happened. Only, with more practice, the coach had a cleaner catch at the second effort.
