RTE have announced the shortlist for the 2015 Sports Person of the Year award.
It truth, it's quite a longlist, but it's difficult to ague against any of the nominees. The show will be broadcast on Saturday 19 December at 9.40pm, and there will also be awards of team of the year, manager of the year.
Manager of the year nominees:
Brian Cody, Craig Fulton, Jim Gavin, Stephen Kenny, Willie Mullins, Paudie Murray, Martin O’Neill, Michael O’Neill, Eamonn Ryan, Joe Schmidt, Tom Tierney and Billy Walsh.
Team of the year nominees:
Dublin Football, Cork Ladies Football Team, Dundalk, Ireland Men’s Rugby Team, Ireland Men’s Hockey Team, Ireland Boxing Team, Northern Ireland Soccer Team, Republic of Ireland Soccer Team, Special Olympics Team Ireland and Ireland Women's Cricket Team
