It wasn't just the news press that made powerful statements today, Europe's sporting press made sure they made their points about press freedom.

As the world still reels from the horror of yesterday's attack on the office of French satirical paper Charlie Hebdo, an attack that left 12 dead, the world's media have used their front pages to show they will not be cowed by terrorism. The sporting press in Europe have also made their point with some powerful front pages too. France's L'Equipe is definitely the most impactful... Spain's Marca changed their masthead to the French colours and printed the now iconic Je Suis Charlie beside it. Spain's AS put a black ribbon on their masthead AS front page   French rugby paper Midi Olympique changed its name to Charlie Olympique for its latest edition. MIDOL
