The robbery occurred on Saturday at the apartment the team have been using as they finish up their training.

Passports and equipment worth thousands of dollars have been stolen from Israeli athletes at the Olympic Winter Games.

In a social media post, Israeli bobsled pilot, AJ Edelman, revealed that a robbery occurred yesterday at the apartment the team have been using as they finish up their training for the Milan Cortina Winter Games.

He added on X that the squad have continued their training following the police investigation, saying the way in which the team handled the situation ‘is just such a fine example of how we push forward in difficult circumstances’.

"Such a gross violation — suitcases, shoes, equipment, passports stolen, and the boys headed right back to training today. I really believe this team exemplifies the Israeli Spirit."

Team Israel will compete in both the two-man and four-man bobsledding, with Edelman captaining both.

The team's participation in the Olympics is a controversial one as has the country's presence in all international sports due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
