Nathan Aspinall has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2019 PDC World Darts Championship with a crushing 5-1 win over Brendan Dolan.

Aspinall is the first player through to the semi-finals after a 3 – 0, 3 – 2, 3 – 1, 3 – 1, 0 – 3, 3 – 1 win over Dolan who made his first world championship quarter-final in what was his 11th appearance at the event.

Aspinall booked his place in the final eight after an impressive 4-3 comeback win over Devon Petersen on Friday afternoon.

The number 73 ranked player had already brushed aside seeded players Gerwyn Price and Kyle Anderson en route to the quarter-final before blitzing Dolan in the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile Michael Smith will play Luke Humphries, Dave Chisnall will take on Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen will battle with Ryan Joyce in the championship’s remaining quarter-finals.
