Sky Sports presenter Kirsty Gallacher will leave Sky Sports after more than 20 years with the company.

Gallacher started at Sky in 1998 and has become synonymous with the broadcaster over the last two decades.

The 42-year-old said she is leaving to start a new chapter in her life and Sky Sports News anchor Jim White congratulated her for her career with Sky.

In a statement, Gallacher said: “I have had 20 wonderful years at Sky and will leave with the best memories.

“I am excited to start a new chapter.”

Her departure comes weeks after it was confirmed that Natalie Sawyer would leave her role as a Sky Sports News presenter. Reports at the time claimed Sawyer was made aware that her contract would not be renewed shortly before her final shift.
