Ireland's World Cup adventure may have been brought to a close by Pakistan this morning, but the boys in green leave Australia and New Zealand with their reputations enhanced both at home and abroad

Fans worldwide were drawn to the Irish side led by William Porterfield, whose ongoing battle for ICC recognition made them popular underdogs and everyone's second favourite team. At home, meanwhile, the game seeped that little bit further into the public's consciousness, with an ever increasing horde of well-wishers congratulating them on a campaign that yielded three victories, including two against Test-playing nations West Indies and Zimbabwe. https://twitter.com/Irelandcricket/status/577049794071420928 https://twitter.com/sportsdes/status/577061993699495936 https://twitter.com/mrmarksteel/status/577072152433790977 https://twitter.com/SimonDelaneyEsq/status/577068152460312576 https://twitter.com/surreycricket/status/577064405059403776 https://twitter.com/niallnobiobrien/status/577083688208310274 https://twitter.com/FarhanShahid/status/577070493523644416 https://twitter.com/ShillersC/status/577071067707125761 https://twitter.com/SRThompson91/status/577090896082038784 https://twitter.com/Coachsim13/status/577093654654779392 https://twitter.com/TheRealPCB/status/577075038689480704 https://twitter.com/GavinDuffy/status/577058674344095744 https://twitter.com/vishaljharwade/status/577071623485804546 Flogas Ireland is proud to be the official energy partner to Cricket Ireland.  As Ireland’s only provider of both LPG and Natural Gas for homes and businesses, visit www.flogas.ie for all your central heating, instant hot water and cooking needs.
