When you’re a trending topic in a country with over one billion people you’ve either done something really good or really bad.
Fortunately for the Ireland Cricket team it was their thrilling victory over the UAE that was filling timelines across the globe.
The Ireland v UAE game was so dramatic that it became a trending topic in India, Australia, Pakistan USA and the United Kingdom.
Cricket, though growing at a rapid pace, may still be labelled by some as a ‘minority’ sport in Ireland.
This shows that it has huge appeal across the world and the Irish players and their heroics were the topic of conversation on a truly global scale during this morning’s thrilling win.
