Guess how much Messi and Kobe and the big sports stars make in a second

Ridiculous

Conan Doherty

You know when people say, “there’s not enough money in the world.”  We’re starting to doubt that.

Well, perhaps there’s not enough to pay some of these guys’ wages.

As we’re sitting talking nonsense, the like of Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James are watching their bank accounts tick over by the second and some of their earnings isn’t even funny.

Bluefire Broadband have put together a cracking feature which actually calculates how much money some of the world’s biggest sports stars are earning whilst you’re on their website.  So, for example, if you spend even two seconds there, Ronaldo will have already made over $5 in that time.

Between endorsements and salaries, here’s a list of what some of them are making:

Floyd Mayweather Jr
Salary: $105,000,000
Per second: $3.33

Cristiano Ronaldo
Salary: $52,000,000
Endorsements: $28,000,000
Per second: $2.54

LeBron James
Salary: $19,300,000
Endorsements: $53,000,000
Per second: $2.29

Lionel Messi
Salary: $41,700,000
Endorsements: 23,000,000
Per second: $2.05

Kobe Bryant
Salary: $30,500,000
Endorsements: $31,000,000
Per second: $1.95

Matt Ryan
Salary: $42,000,000
Endorsements: $1,800,000
Per second: $1.39

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Salary: $36,400,000
Endorsements: $4,000,000
Per second: $1.28

Peyton Manning
Salary: $15,100,000
Endorsements: $12,000,000
Per second: $0.86

And we’ve even taken the liberty of calculating what Ally McCoist is accumulating per day whilst he sits on his backside on gardening leave: 2,619 euros a day.  For nothing.
