Ex-NBA player dies in shoot-out with police

Basketball player Tyler Honeycutt has died after a shoot-out with American police.

Honeycutt formerly played in the NBA for the Sacramento Kings, and was now signed to Moscow team BC Khimki. The Los Angeles Police Department stated that an unnamed man died after an apparent “self-inflicted gunshot”, following a shoot-out with police. Police were called on Friday evening by Honeycutt’s mother after he was behaving “erratically”. The suspect then barricaded himself in a house in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles, according to US media.
