Irish dodgy box users should be worried, after a report from the Irish Independent revealed that TV companies such as Sky are planning more intense crackdowns in Ireland.
It is understood that they are looking into copying their strategy used in Italy, which involves issuing direct fines to dodgy box users.
A spokesperson for Sky said that if the methods are workable in Ireland, then they will "look to do it here."
Currently, it is sellers of dodgy boxes who are being targeted, with three men recently found liable for damages to Sky.
It is estimated that there could be up to 400,000 dodgy box users in the country.
We reported earlier this month on similar crackdown plans from Amazon.
