If you were among the 10,000 cricket fans who either got soaked in Malahide earlier today or thought better of turning up at all, there is at least a spot of good news for you
Once today's One-Day International against England, which ended after just 18 overs of Ireland's innings, went past the ten-over mark, Cricket Ireland were absolved of any responsibility to refund or compensate supporters who forked out €45 to see the match.
However, ticket holders will now have the option of seeing Ireland in action in next month's Twenty20 series against Scotland or July's World T20 qualifiers instead.
It's not the refund some might feel is warranted but fair play to Cricket Ireland nonetheless.
