They say you should never judge a book by its cover

The folk behind next year's Paralympic Games in Brazil have released a superb video exposing the preconceptions surrounding athletes with a disability. To mark a year out from the start of the Games's start in Rio, organisers sent some of Brazil's finest Paralympians out to shock the public, and it was definitely mission accomplished. The film, which has now been viewed an incredible 14million times on Facebook and YouTube, starts off by stating that 'Sometimes, all you need to change your opinion is a closer look'. Powerlifter Luciano Dantas, amputee athlete Vinicius Rodrigues and blind judoka Lucia Teixeira are greeted with quizzical glances on their arrival in the gym before showing off their incredible abilities and causing awestruck onlookers' jaws to drop as they break records. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b4PvmMCy2Y
