AFL player nearly goes head over heels scoring one of the best goals in Aussie Rules history

Absolutely ridiculous

Ben Kiely

Even if you know zilch about AFL, you’ll appreciate how magnificently ludicrous this goal is.

Luke Parker scored perhaps the most awkwardly awesome goal in AFL history at the weekend.

The Sydney Swans player picked up a loose ball against the Greater Western Sydney Giants but his momentum made him loose his balance and start staggering forward.

He looked destined to lose possession and fall face first into the turf but somehow, he managed to defy physics and get his boot to ball.

He dropped the ball off the ground but it clipped the side of his boot just as he was falling over and remarkably went between the posts.
