The umpire was refereeing the game in Ashdod and was fatally injured when the ball struck the wicket and then the man in the face.
The shocking news comes just two days after the death of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes who passed away after being struck by a ball in a game in Sydney.
The latest fatality is understood to have been a former captain of the Israel Cricket team :
