If we were him we would claim some credit for Sunday's win.

Last month we shared the inspirational story of Iraqi teenager Abdul Al Jumaili (AKA Bonner Ó Loingsigh), who produced a video detailing how hurling became his refuge from bullying after his family arrived in Ireland in 2008. Despite growing up in Dublin, he became a fanatical Clare supporter and he got to meet his heroes in Thurles ahead of the Allianz Hurling League semi-final win over Kilkenny. Not only that, Abdul (who likes to be called Bonner Ó Loingsigh after his hurling hero Colin Lynch) was the Banner men's hurley and helmet carrier for the match in Thurles. He had the chance to meet manager Davy Fitzgerald and coach Donal Óg Cusack, as well as get photos with the players after the game. We can only hope Colin Lynch turned up too to make his day complete.
