Na Fianna defender shows why every lost cause is worth chasing down

Sean Caffrey was on top form, but his opponents can't be gifting him easy scores like this.

The Na Fianna forward was listed 13 for his side's Dublin club championship match against Lucan Sarsfields but he donned the 15 jersey and looked good in it. Caffrey's side were 2-9 to 1-10 ahead of their group match, heading into injury time, when substitute Eoin Neville got his attempt for a point all wrong. Under pressure from the Sarsfields defence, Neville got under his kick and it was heading three yards wide when Darragh Kennedy did what coaches always tell their players to do - chased down a lost cause. Philip Green, who had earlier pulled off a stunning save to deny Aaron Byrne, came out of his goal to shepherd the ball wide. Kennedy, buoyed from a well taken goal earlier in the half, did not give up on his teammate's wayward shot. Green misjudged and Kennedy kept the ball in before passing for Caffrey to fire home.
