"He's a little speedster and not just a speedster that plays with his head down. He plays lovely... tasty little passes into the full forward line and, in the last two games, he has been a huge addition."As if that was not enough, Burns got the seal of approval from Mayo half back Lee Keegan [from 1:07:00 below], who was a guest pundit for the 'Performance of the Week' segment of the show. Keegan said he had spotted Burns, and marked him out as one to watch, after seeing him play club football for Dr. Crokes. He said:
"Dr. Crokes are a team that do well most years and he was I guy I had picked out previously. He was very good on the run they had to the Munster final this year. He's a guy that regularly chips in with two or three points a game. "I didn't know [he'd be playing] until he was selected until the first national league game but I was made aware of it. I have to say, I was really impressed with him on Saturday night. He covered a lot of ground there and chipped in with another two points, which is a huge bonus for a half forward. "Definitely, he's one guy that I picked out from that [Mayo] game along with Paul Geaney, who got a couple of good scores at key times, especially when Kerry were under the cosh."What stood out from that victory of The Kingdom, in Keegan's mind, was that a number of their younger players 'really took the game' to Mayo. Kerry supporters will no doubt be excited to see more of Burns after such effusive praise from Parkinson and Keegan.
