There were many things which Michael Murphy may have been concerned about when he arrived at Clermont Auvergne.
Potentially getting injured, the language barrier, how he would adapt to rugby pitch sessions but one thing which may not have concerned him would have been the gym work.
It was clear that Murphy was impressed with the excellent facilities of the French rugby club and he didn't look one bit out of place as he tore into the heavy weights session without a bother to him.

Clermont's strength & conditioning coaches were very impressed with the power the Glenswilly man possessed and they admitted that Murphy's hamstring strength was greater than that of the Clermont players.
However, one issue which the coaches raised was Murphy's squatting ability, but hey, that's still not bad for an amateur athlete.
And viewers were clearly in admiration of the Donegal star.
