A poignant moment on a hugely significant day.

100 years on from the Bloody Sunday tragedy that took the lives of 14 innocent people, the Dublin footballers led by their captain Stephen Cluxton, laid a wreath to remember the victims. A commemorative ceremony took place prior to the Leinster final in Croke Park, with An Taoiseach Micheal Martin and the president Michael D Higgins honouring the fallen. The Dublin footballers had business to take care of first, as they hammered Meath to win a 15th Leinster title in 16 years, and they showed their class after the game too.
