100 years on from the Bloody Sunday tragedy that took the lives of 14 innocent people, the Dublin footballers led by their captain Stephen Cluxton, laid a wreath to remember the victims.
A commemorative ceremony took place prior to the Leinster final in Croke Park, with An Taoiseach Micheal Martin and the president Michael D Higgins honouring the fallen.
The Dublin footballers had business to take care of first, as they hammered Meath to win a 15th Leinster title in 16 years, and they showed their class after the game too.
Each member of the squad stood before the plaques on Hill 16 to honour the 14 victims.
