Nope, according to the Everton midf player, his best position is as a striker.
Speaking to the magazine show Premier League World, Barkley said that he operates best up front, with more freedom to look for and take chances.
“I’m a striker,” he said. “I feel I can have my greatest impact there because I’m free to roam around the pitch, take players on, have shots and create chances.”
Barkley has played in a variety of different positions this season for Everton, and the England international hasn't been pleased with an inconsistent season.
“From my point of view I haven’t done as well as I know I can, but things like this happen,” Barkley said. “You have to go through bad days to get to the great days you have in your career.
“Everything’s a learning curve."
With Everton's season really petering out, could we see Barkley given a run up to before the end of May?
