Manchester United are wanting to create a new 100,000 capacity stadium which would take a whopping six years to complete.
However, the prospect that redeveloping the existing Old Trafford is not off the table as of yet.
The club's stadium task force have made an initial agreement that to create a new build on the land around the current stadium would be the best conclusion.
The Old Trafford Regeneration Task Force, chaired by Lord Coe and including Gary Neville and Andy Burnham, has held four meetings.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to build a "Wembley of the north", however it has been stressed that no decision has been taken yet.
Regarding the potential redevelopment of Old Trafford, there are existing issues. For example, there is a railway line at the back of the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand.
Additionally, if building works were to take place, this would result in significantly reduced capacity, resulting in a loss of revenue and huge inconvenience to fans.
United would have no alternative ground to use in the meantime.
