Manchester United are looking to sign a former Manchester City star Leroy Sané in a potential shock move.
The Red Devils are already looking at reinforcement options for January, with another raid of Bayern Munich on the cards.
Last summer United signed two players from the Bavarian giants, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui for a combined £55million
Now the struggling Manchester club are looking to raid Bayern yet again, targeting former Man City star Sané as well as Leon Goretzka and Alphonso Davies as reported by Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Germany reporter claimed that United are looking at an incredible triple swoop in January for the players who the club are monitoring.
While at first appearance this might seem like a lofty challenge for a club in the trenches like United, two of the three players targeted are genuine possibilities following their recent situations.
Both Gortezka and Sane used to be some of the best players in the world in their position, however, have struggled for game time recently, notably Sané who has been plagued by injury.
However, like De Ligt and Mazraoui, these players might be open to the move in search of more game time and could be available for a decent price primarily because of their soon-to-expire contracts.
Both Davies and Sané have contracts expiring at the end of this season, while Goretzka's runs until 2026.
However, United will have to fight off stiff competition from Real Madrid for Davies who is high on their list too.
Meanwhile, Goretzka would prefer to fight for his place at Bayern.
