Liam Miller, former Man United, Celtic and Ireland midfielder, dies age 36

Liam Miller has died age 36.

Miller played for Celtic, Manchester United and the Republic of Ireland across a 16-year professional career. He was diagnosed with cancer late last year, and had been undergoing treatment in the United States and back home in Ireland. The Irishman then moved south to play for Manchester United, signing for Sir Alex Ferguson's side on a free transfer. He made 22 appearances for the club across two seasons, and had a loan spell with Leeds United. Miller then signed for Roy Keane's Sunderland in 2006, and was part of the Black Cats team which won the Championship in 2007. Miller later had spells with Queens Park Rangers, Hibernian, Perth Glory and Cork City, before retiring in 2016. He won 21 caps for Ireland.
