What the hell have we done all summer without Jeff Stelling in our lives on a Saturday afternoon?
The Soccer Saturday stalwart has brought us some brilliant comedy moments down the years. Who could forget the time when he handled a phone call live on air like a boss? Or the time when he ripped the piss out of Chris Kamara for not having a clue what was going on in the Portsmouth game.
The man is pure comedy gold every Saturday when the football season is in full swing. But the action hadn't even started this Saturday afternoon on the first day of the new football league and Stelling was up to his old tricks.
The Sky Sports presenter felt the need to welcome the "rivals on the other channel BT Sport", before he went savage on their sports broadcasting arch nemesis.
"There's nothing like a bit of good, healthy competition, he began. "And they're on the air at 2:30."
Then came the killer blown from Sky Sports' football heavyweight as he said: "Oh sorry, I've just heard that even though it's the start of the football season today, they're not bothering 'til next week when the Premier League starts. But in your own time boys."

This would be incredible! Right now, Nathan Collins’ focus is Ireland and Brentford, with the centre back captaining both sides. And this will be his focus for at least the next decade, as the Leixlip man is still just 24. However, in an interview with the BBC, he spoke about his early roots in the […]
