Gifted Derry midfielder signs professional contract with Arsenal

We've had our eye on Jordan McEneff for a while.

While it didn't quite happen for Aaron in North London, Jordan has a huge opportunity to make it at Spurs' bitter rivals Arsenal after signing a professional contract with the Gunners. The 17-year-old joined Arsenal last summer and was one of three academy prospects – along with Tobi Omole and Harry Clarke – to sign professional deals just in time for the new Premier League season. McEneff has earned the nickname 'Besty' from the U18 coaching staff thanks to his dribbling skills. McEneff, whose father is from Dublin, switched allegiance to Republic of Ireland after having represented Northern Ireland up to U17 level.
