Alas it wasn't to be and the mood at the end of the game was despondent. Philippe Coutinho was one of the players with tears welling up in his eyes and he obviously just wanted to get off the pitch as soon as possible.
But it didn't seem to bother one fan, who was far more interested in getting a keepsake selfie with the player than anything else. He accosted the young Brazilian and asked for a cheery selfie on his phone.
Somehow Coutinho allowed the photo to be taken, although he couldn't muster a smile. Any players would have told the opportunistic idiot to fuck off and leave them alone, and they'd have every right...
