The youngster is putting his positional disappointment behind him.
Rory O'Loughlin opened the scoring for Leinster in their interprovincial clash against Ulster at the RDS.
The former St. Michael's man was recently interviewed and revealed that he is learning his trade on the wing as his natural position, of centre, is currently being filled by Irish international Gary Ringrose.
You can see from O'Loughlin's try why Leo Cullen has had no hesitation in putting the 22-year-old on the wing as he shows scintillating pace to score a try from inside his own half.
The move begins with Leinster line-out on their own half way line.
Leinster secure their own ball before sending it out to Ross Byrne.
The out-half pops a beautiful pass to the onrushing O'Loughlin, who himself showed great awareness to run a great line.
The Ulster defence can do nothing to stop the ensuing linebreak and O'Loughlin's pace sends him away from the weak tackle attempts from Andrew Trimble and Paul Marshall.

O'Loughlin was unlucky not have secured a second try as Sean O'Brien failed to find him with a pass when the winger looked likely to score if he had received the ball.
