The young fellas piled the pressure on the senior team as they saw off France U20s with little difficulty at Dubarry Park tonight.

Nigel Carolan's side opened the scoring with a try from pacy winger Jack Owens which was duly converted by man-of-the-match Ross Byrne duly converted before the out-half added a penalty. France drew level though with a penalty and try combination of their own before Stephen Fitzgerald edged Ireland in front once more. The scores were left at 20-10 at the break thanks to a second Byrne penalty. Ireland came storming out of the traps after the break and were 17 points to the good after Billy Dardis went over for Ireland's third try.
