The new Richie McCaw?
He’ll go through you for a shortcut.
This is where that term came from. Blake Gibson doesn’t like scenic routes and he sure as hell doesn’t prefer detours. When you’ve got the tools that he does – the same tools they presumably use for the machinery of a bulldozer – you go straight and nothing but nothing stops you.
Blues saw off Highlanders in a thrilling Super Rugby season opener that ended 33-31 and the New Zealand underage flanker literally burst a hole in the opposition defence when he barged his way through for a first half try.
And his outstanding performance overall didn’t go unnoticed, especially with the All Black number seven jersey being vacated by Richie McCaw.
I've said this before and ill say it again, Blake Gibson is to be the next All Black No.7 #fact

Poor Ben Smith was simply the victim of the laws of physics as he tried to halt the unstoppable in full flight. It didn’t end well for the Highlanders full back who was dumped flat on his back as Gibson burst through for an unbelievable try.
Meanwhile, Blake Gibson has gone to beast mode.#SuperRugby https://t.co/lsff6J89e8
