Believe the hype. The southern hemisphere is better.

Blues and Highlanders produced an exhilarating Super Rugby season opener on Friday that already has us wondering what the hell we were doing with our mornings while it was gone.
But, despite one of the finest and slickest moves you'll see - probably for the rest of the year - when the Highlanders sliced through the opposition with a crazy move of running and quick passing and offloads that started in their own half, they fell just short, losing out 33-31 in the end.
Ben Smith might've been left red-faced and pretty seriously damaged when he was put on his arse for Blake Gibson's scarily powerful try, but the Highlanders full back got over the line for the his side's first and last scores of the game and he finished off what was simply an unbelievably sweeping move here.
It looked like the passage was over about four times before they made it to the line.
Those New Zealanders are good at rugby.

It was their 29th title, but the victory may be remembered for a brawl between the two sides, which broke out after 30 minutes. After an attacking maul, five metres out from Campbell’s line, the RBAI scrum-half […]

Props Tom O’Toole was the big winner from the Six Nations, taking his opportunity with aplomb. Paddy McCarthy and Jack Boyle haven’t seen much game […]
