No matter the punishment his body takes, McCaw will never change his ways
Canterbury Crusaders lost the opening game of the 2015 Super Rugby season to Melbourne Rebels but the main talking point of the match arrived just three minutes in.
McCaw, playing blindside for Crusaders, found himself offside at a Rebels ruck and, while he was at it, refused to release the ball. Rebels scrum-half Nic Stirzaker took exception and planted a straight stamp right where it hurts.
Typical of the man, McCaw rolled to glare at his attacker before a serious round of icing to the injured groin. Stirzaker returned to the field of play after his 10 minutes in the sin-bin and helped the Rebels to a 20-10 away win.
