There'll always be a place on the Ireland team for Brian O'Driscoll.
Well, if Patrick O'Reilly has anything to do with it anyway there will be.
Rala, the legendary baggage master for the Irish rugby team, still treats the former captain as one of the squad as he holds on to O'Driscoll's boot-polishing kit left behind upon the number 13s retirement last year.
Cian Healy was down this afternoon presumably to give his boots the works when he noticed that Rala had left someone else's material out ahead of tomorrow's first home clash of the Six Nations.
Either it's tradition, honour or it's just a nice little message to O'Driscoll to tell him the door is still open. Sure who could ever close it?
