Big contract news in Munster this morning, and their fans will be really pleased with this one.
Captain Peter O'Mahony has signed a new three year deal with the IRFU to remain at Munster, which will tie him down to the province until the summer of 2018.
O'Mahony has nailed down his place in the first choice backrow for Ireland, and was named as Munster's captain in 2013 at just 23-years old.
He made his Irish debut in January 2010, before pulling on an Irish test short for the first time in the 2012 Six Nations.
The Corkman has been in negotiations with the IRFU for the past couple of months, and has now put pen to paper on a new contract.
Speaking about the news, O'Mahony said: "I am delighted to have signed a new three year contract with Munster and the IRFU. Munster is my home province; the team I've grown up supporting and am honoured to both represent and captain.
"I look forward to working hard with my team mates, coaching staff and management to achieve continued success for both Munster and Ireland in the years ahead".

The incident is alleged to have occurred on March 1st of this year. The 21-year-old was arrested at 4.05am that day, and is currently on station bail. He […]
