Head coach Pat Lam has made a real statement of his ambition for Connacht by signing a new three-year deal with the province.
Lam arrived in Galway in the second half of the 2012/13 season, before taking full charge of the team that summer.
He's taken the team from strength to strength, picking up a famous European win in Toulouse last season, before pushing on even further this campaign, putting themselves in a great position to pick up a top six finish in the Pro 12.
He's proven to be a hugely popular figure since his arrival and he himself has spoken of his love of his lifestyle in the area.
So another three years of Lam at Connacht is sure to be a huge boost.
Speaking about the extension, Lam said he's thrilled to be committing his future to the west of Ireland.
'Both Steph and I are delighted that our family will be staying in Galway and with Connacht Rugby. We are blessed to be living in a very special place, meeting and making new friendships along the way.
'I am thrilled that I will be with Connacht Rugby for a further three years as we strive towards achieving great things. We have a vision here to be 'world class' in everything we do so we can grow and promote the game out West and ensure everyone involved has the best opportunity to achieve their goals.
'We believe that we are certainly on the right track with all the good work that has been done over the years by many people. To be a part of it is very exciting.'

The incident is alleged to have occurred on March 1st of this year. The 21-year-old was arrested at 4.05am that day, and is currently on station bail. He […]
