England raced off to a superb start against the All Blacks when winger Jonny May blitzed up the left wing to dot down. New Zealand responded through Aaron Cruden but two Owen Farrell penalties saw the hosts lead 11-8 at half-time.
Farrell added a third penalty after the break before Cruden tagged three points back. The world champions turned the attacking screw midway through the half and were rewarded when Riche McCaw juggled then finished off a team move to edge his side ahead for the first time. Beauden Barrett eventually found his penalty-kicking range and the match was sealed when prop Charlie Faumuina crashed over for a late score. England scored a penalty try to ensure a tense finish but the All Black bandwagon rolls on. 24-21 to Steve Hansen's men.
Meanwhile in Cardiff, Australia beat Wales 33-28. The loss was Wales' tenth in succession against the Wallabies.
