There was always going to be disappointment when Warren Gatland named his Lions squad this week.
With so many players throughout Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales showing some great form over the past few months, some top players were always going to be left out.
The disappointment is understandable.
It is a great honour to represent the Lions and to be considered one of the top 40 players among the aforementioned countries is a great privilege.
In addition to this, the Lions only takes place every four years, so it's not exactly an opportunity which presents itself too often.
With regards to Munster, there was some dismay down south when it was announced that only three of their players made the plane.
The likes of Donnacha Ryan, Simon Zebo and Keith Earls definitely had a case for travelling to New Zealand.
Zebo, had a great reaction to being dropped which he shared on Instagram.

Many people were shocked at the Cork man's exclusion considering the excellent performances he has put in for club and country.
It seems that no one is more shocked than his club, who have released an excellent video today highlighting the 27-year-old's achievements in the Champions Cup so far this season.
We hope that Zebo will get to add to these impressive stats when he faces the mighty Saracens in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

Another top performance! Our Ireland player ratings as Andy Farrell’s men put in a six-try performance to defeat Scotland. Tom O’Toole – 8.5 The Ulsterman’s switch to loosehead looks to be paying real dividends with another great showing in the scrum, the highlight of which was an early penalty that led to Jamie Osborne’s try. It’s all to play for today! Ireland welcome Scotland to the Aviva Stadium this afternoon in the final round of the 2026 Six Nations, with both sides in with a chance of winning the title. The Scots are joint with France on points and a win would put huge pressure on Les Bleus against England […]
