Big blow for Leinster, but it looks like they may appeal the ruling.
Matt O'Connor's side will be without loose-head prop Jack McGrath for their crunch Champions Cup pool games against Castres and Wasps, after he picked up a three week suspension for his stamp on Rory Best during Saturday's Pro12 win against Ulster.
It comes as a big blow, with Cian Healy not expected to recover from his hamstring injury in time for the pool deciders.
McGrath was cited earlier this week, for this stamp on his international teammate, and will be free to return to play on Sunday January 25, the day after Leinster's final pool game against Wasps in Coventry.
McGrath was handed an initial five week suspension, but on taking his good disciplinary record into account, his ban was reduced to three weeks.
However, it's believed that Leinster will appeal the decision, so expect the controversy to roll on in the coming days.
