We wanted a win, a bonus point and no injuries from today’s clash with Romania and it seems we got at least two of the three.

Joe Schmidt will have been glad to see much of his second choice players perform very well in the 44-10 win over the Eastern Europeans this afternoon in Wembley.

However the win was marred by a late injury to Rob Kearney, who appeared to suffer a muscle problem when he ran over for the last try of the game in the final few minutes.

The Leinster man looked to be in a bit of pain coming off the pitch

At his post-match press briefing Schmidt indicated that the nature of the problem.

Keith Earls also suffered a knock to his head during the course of the game but it seems that the prognosis on the Munster man is somewhat better.
