Rugby fans can look forward to seeing some of Ireland and England’s greatest-ever rugby legends compete in a charity match at Energia Park in Donnybrook, Dublin on Friday, January 31, 2025. The match, kicking off at 7 pm, will raise funds for rugby charities in both Ireland and the UK.
This year’s game for the Stewart Mangan Memorial Cup will feature iconic players such as Devin Toner, Jordi Murphy, Chris Henry, Mike Tindall, Dylan Armitage, and Matt Banahan.
The annual match, established in 2008 by former Irish international Shane Byrne and ex-Munster captain Len Dinneen, has flourished under the leadership of England legend Jason Leonard.
The event alternates yearly between Ireland and England and takes place on the eve of the Ireland v England Six Nations opener.
First held in 2009 to honour Stuart Mangan, a Hammersmith & Fulham RFC player who passed away unexpectedly, the match has since raised over €1.5 million for rugby charities, thanks to the unwavering support of fans and sponsors.
In 2017, the match also paid tribute to Anthony Foley, the former Munster captain who tragically passed away.
Over 17,000 people attended that year’s game, contributing to the establishment of the Anthony Foley Foundation, which continues to operate from the University of Limerick.
The proceeds from this year’s game will benefit the Rugby Players Ireland Foundation and IRFU Charitable Trust in Ireland, as well as the Rugby Players Association and RESTART in the UK.
Don’t miss this chance to see rugby legends in action while supporting vital causes.
Tickets are now on sale, priced between €15 and €20 plus booking fees. Secure your spot for this special event and support a great cause.

Brilliant footage shows Toulon doing training drills on Dublin street ahead of Leinster loss
This is great! Ahead of their Champions Cup semi-final against Leinster this afternoon at the Aviva Stadium, Toulon were seen training in a rather unusual spot. Instead of a field or the gym, they were filmed on a Dublin street doing maul drills, while others causally tossed the ball around. It is unclear exactly where […]
