USA out-half AJ MacGinty has become the latest Dubliner to relocate to the west of Ireland after signing with Connacht for the rest of the season.
The former Blackrock College star, a former team-mate of Ireland out-half Ian Madigan, is returning from America after completing the three-year residency requirement to play for the Eagles, for whom he started three of their World Cup games, scoring 25 points.
Connacht coach Pat Lam said of the 25-year-old: "As a young Irish player playing abroad, AJ has been on our radar for quite some time now.
"His performances in the Rugby World Cup were impressive and we're very pleased that he's now joining Connacht Rugby.
"AJ adds to our options at outhalf and we expect him to bring with him his experience of playing at the highest level. His skillset compliments our game and he has shown that he can execute the basics of kicking and passing in high pressure situations."
