This time last week, Barry Murphy and Andrew Trimble conceded it could be their last House of Rugby for a while. This morning, Trimble joined forces with Producer Pat and a dedicated crew to ensure there was another high-quality show to enjoy.
With Murphy on his way back to Ireland from Dubai, Trimble was in the host chair and he steered the show through whatever rugby gems we could get stuck into as well as dealing with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the associated after-shocks.
The gang are joined on the show, from Parma and Treviso in Italy, by Benetton and Italy outhalf Ian McKinley and Zebre head coach Michael Bradley. With Italy on lock-down, given the alarming rates of confirmed Covid-19 (Coronavirus) cases in the country, we spoke with both men about life in the heart of the pandemic.
Bradley speaks about watching on from Italy as the rest of the world reacts, in their own way, to the outbreak while McKinley gives an insight into how a professional rugby player stays fit, focused and upbeat while on lock-down. Also covered on the show:
Ulster signing Alby Mathewson and Ian Madigan
Gallaghers Premiership and European rugby postponed until further notice
Bans in for Marler, Tuilagi, Lousi and more, but do they still apply when rugby returns?
What Irish treasures would go in our Bunker of Rugby

We’ve picked the side we would like to see, with a few surprises on the bench. Loosehead prop – Paddy McCarthy After injuries to Ireland’s top-three looseheads – Andrew Porter, Jack Boyle […]
Very fair from the Ireland boss. Scotland came to the Aviva Stadium with a Six Nations title on their minds, but these dreams were firmly put to down bed by an Ireland side who were on top from minute one to 80. Aside from the stellar displays from most of the players, another aspect of […]
Another top performance! Our Ireland player ratings as Andy Farrell’s men put in a six-try performance to defeat Scotland. Tom O’Toole – 8.5 The Ulsterman’s switch to loosehead looks to be paying real dividends with another great showing in the scrum, the highlight of which was an early penalty that led to Jamie Osborne’s try.
