Porsche was quick to avail of the open speed zone in place in Alice Springs to test the mettle of the new Porsche 918 Spyder.

The Weissach reached a preposterous 350km/h on the 204km stretch of road on the Stuart Highway. The €1.4 million supercar needed just 40 seconds to reach the insane speed that has scared us to within an inch of our lives. https://youtu.be/uoSkpYhzTrc
