Shocking news from the world of motorsport as Formula One star Jenson Button is reportedly the victim of a heist in his French villa.
Button, his wife Jessica Michibata and their three friends were reportedly gassed in Button's mansion in Saint-Tropez, France, where burglars stole over £300,000 (€425,000) worth of possessions.
Authorities told the Sun that they believed the culprits "pumped an anaesthetic gas into the property through its air conditioning vents" before carrying out the robbery and that among the items stolen was Michibata's engagement ring valued at £250,000.
Two burglars are thought to have orchestrated the heist and had been staking out the house throughout Button's holiday. Reports claim that they had waited until everyone in the house had fallen asleep before pumping it full of gas and making their move.
