Looks like we won’t be seeing the German car maker in F1 anytime soon.

The head of Audi motorsport  Wolfgang Ullrich has dismissed links that the car manufacturer will be  entering the top level of world motorsport in 2016

Speaking to autosport.com the  German says the company want to concentrate on Touring cars and the World Endurance championships instead.

Speculation had increased recently that Audi were about to target F1 after former team  head at Ferrari  Stefano Domenicali took up a role with the German car maker.

However that now looks unlikely so we’ll have to console ourselves with their cars zipping around the Le Mans track for a whole day  in the meantime
