That was the cathartic closing line of Rocky Balboa’s victory speech after he shocked the world for the second time and became the undisputed champion of the world.
Who can forget the dramatic finish of that epic war? Both Balboa and Apollo Creed landed haymakers at the exact same time, resulting in a race against time to get up before the final bell sounded. In the end, it was the ‘Italian Stallion’ who had just that little bit more heart to get himself back up to his feet in time to have that coveted golden strap wrapped around his waist.
Before you cry ‘Spoiler Alert,’ we will remind you that Rocky II, the scientifically-proven mushiest installment in the franchise, is almost 40 years old.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you only have yourself to blame.
A finish like that is so implausible, it could only exist in the fictional realm, right?
Wrong.
Pretty much the same thing happened during the Shamrock FC even in Kansas at the weekend.
Both Alan Vasquez and Alex Cazares unloaded huge haymakers at the exact same time during their bout on the regional card. While Cazares slowly slumped to the canvas, Vasquez dropped instantly.
Just when it looked like the referee was going to step in an call the double KO, Vasquez jolted back to consciousness in an instant to claim the knockout victory.
