Rose Namajunas sent a message to the rest of the strawweight division by scoring a stellar decision victory over Tecia Torres in UFC Tampa's main event. All three judges scored the fight 29-28 in favour of Thug, which saw her claim her biggest ever scalp and hand the Tiny Tornado the first loss of her professional career. It also saw Namajunas exact revenge on Torres, who won the last time the two threw down inside the cage under the Invicta banner in one of 2013's fights of the year. Just before she entered the cage, her fiancee, coach and former Glory and UFC fighter Pat Barry gave her one hell of a motivational talk. The veins bulged on Barry's neck as he passionately told Rose this was her time to shine. He planted a big kiss on the strawweight contender before sending her off to war.
