Pinball tennis could catch on

You have to feel sorry for him

The Northern Trust open is underway in the USA tonight with golf fans looking forward to seeing how the pro’s manage to negotiate one of the tickets shots in the world.

The 10th at Riveria is a par four but don’t let that fool you. Its about 300 yards but the green is surrounded on three sides by bunkers while the fairway also has a more than few spots for players to come a cropper.

And  that;s one way to describe what happened poor Scott Piercey.

He began his round at the infamous hole and you could hardly ask for a worse start as he shanked it into the bunker to the left of the pin. He then tried to wedge it out of the sand but only succeeded in crossing the green and landing it into the sand trap on the other side. He then did it again and again to record an horrific double bogey. This might be the time we point out its a par four

We love this graph representation of his nightmare start:

His ended the day with an horrific 80 with the carnage of his round hard to believe:golf
