The winning captain also had his clubs and personal belongings taken

Europe’s Ryder Cup winning captain Paul McGinley was the victim of a car robbery recently, and some special mementos were among the items taken.

McGinley was in San Francisco ahead of the AT and T Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week, and had his car broke into while out for a walk.

He returned to find his back window had been smashed, and all of his belongings stolen.

His custom made golf clubs, equipment and passport were all taken, along with some Ryder Cup memorabilia which he had planned to auction off for charity.
